I work full time as a sergeant for the Mt. Vernon Illinois Police Department. I love locking up bad guys, but my passion is crappie fishing. I grew up around Rend Lake and have been fishing it for many years.  I fish for the enjoyment of it and also travel around the country competing in tournaments. I like learning new things about crappie fishing and enjoy teaching others about it too. I have had the pleasure of taping shows on Rend lake with Midwest Crappie and the World Fishing Network. I am pro staff for Southern Pro Tackle, TnT Tackle, and Koolwell livewell cooling system. When fishing with me you will be fishing out of a 2007 War Eagle predator with a 115 Yamaha four stroke. It was designed specifically for crappie fishing. During the 2011 season from my boat alone I cleaned 3598 crappie for my clients.

I grew up in Southern IL with many years spent fishing on Rend Lake. I have first hand knowledge of the lake , both the north sub impoundment creek areas, and the southern main port of the lake. My favorite hobby is crappie fishing. I spend the majority of my free time fishing on Rend Lake.

My full time profession is in law enforcement with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. I feel that my experience as a Deputy Sheriff only enhances my guiding abilities with the knowledge of the lake.

Greg Rednour

I grew up in Southern Illinois hunting and fishing most of my life. I have spent many hours and days on the waters of Rend Lake in my Triton TR21. I have the latest electronics and equipment on my boat for crappie fishing.

I have a vast knowledge of Rend Lake, which I crappie fish all year round. I also venture to Kincaid Lake in Murphysboro, Il during the summer months for big slabs.

I have fished in several tournaments throughout the years such as Crappie Master, SICA, and Crappie U.S.A.

When I'm not fishing I'm working at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Centralia, Il in the Maintenance Department.

Fishing has been a hobbie of mine for many years and I enjoy teaching others as well as learning new things myself.

I moved to southern IL over 25 years ago and wouldn't change it for anything! I've fished all my life and been a serious crappie fisherman for several years now. If i'm not at work, I can usually be found on the lake. I spend many hours a week on the lake, to stay up with where the fish are located. I love to get in on a big ol' pile of slabs, great conversation, and the beautiful scenery which Rend lake has to offer! What are you waiting for?? Give us a call!!
